History
Formerly Hiyas Wellington Cultural Group, founded in July 2009 by Filipinos to promote Filipino culture and traditions.
Multicultural Fusion
Opened doors to various cultures, showcasing and participating in multicultural events, valuing the rich cultures and traditions of all members.
Symbolism
‘Hiyas’ means treasure, reflected in the logo’s pearl in a shell symbolizing Filipino warmth and the country’s beauty, representing the Philippines as the ‘Pearl of the Orient Seas’.
